Heading off to Ecuador

Thanks for a great parent weekend families!

Our Last Week at Kroka: Small Group Projects
This past week we dove into small group projects. This is a semester tradition that is meant for learning new skills, and for giving back to the community.

Finishing academic work in the sunshine
Harry, Bryony, and Nica were assistant teachers for a middle school program that came for the week. They helped lead canoeing, rock climbing, and farm and forest exploration.

Luke and I worked on the farm, helping with the fall harvest and building insulation panels for the bee hives.

Aisha, Whitley, Tikko, Griffin, Zoe, and Jule built a washing station with a drainage system. This station will be used for washing gear coming back from expeditions.

Hyim and Hannah worked on an ongoing project that consists of making a trail system for the community of Marlow.

Off to Ecuador!
Our last few days before leaving have been filled with spending time with families and friends, as well as cleaning and packing up. We are very excited.

Next time we’ll be writing, it will be from Palugo farm in the Andes Mountains of Ecuador.

Hasta luego!
